Minneapolis: Showers to return early in the new week
A dry and mild weekend is ahead for Minneapolis, but residents will want to be mindful of passing showers as the workweek begins.
Milder air will move in over the weekend and temperatures will approach 60 F by Monday. A normal high for early March in the city is in the mid-30s.
Those planning outdoor activities will be able to enjoy favorable conditions.
Sunday will be partly sunny and breezy due to a gusty wind out of the south, according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Edwards. Breezy conditions are also expected on Monday, he added.

Those heading out Monday night will want to have an umbrella or rain jacket handy as a storm approaching from the west will move into the area.
“This storm will bring showers into Monday night and early Tuesday,” Edwards said.
It will remain mild through Tuesday, but cooler air will arrive by Wednesday, sending temperatures back into the upper 40s.
