Gintama Characters to Host Variety Program Next Month #JHedzWorlD

The Gintama television anime might be over for now, but the characters are keeping busy. Starting on July 2, the Kids Station satellite channel will air the Gintama Station variety program, with new episodes every other week.

During the 14-minute program, characters will address comments from viewers which can be submitted through the Kids Station website. The show will host Gintoki Sakata, Shinpachi Shimura, Kagura, Isao Kondo, Toshiro Hijikata, and Sōgo Okita.

Gintama creator Hideaki Sorachi reported that he is starting the manga’s final arc this year, although he himself does not know if the manga will end this year or next year. The manga is inspiring a role-playing mobile game and a new original video anime.
